Is There Really Such A Thing As No Essay Scholarships?

I get asked this question all the time. Most people are more than surprised to learn that yes there are No Essay Scholarships! "How can that be?", they ask, "Aren't essays used to determine who is best qualified?" Well, yes, certain scholarship administrators use essays to decide which applicant is best qualified. However these are quite competitive and usually limited to one or two recipients per semester or school year.
The big problem with these scholarships is the essay itself. Just the thought of having to write a 500-1000 word essay can be extremely stressful for even the best students. High school students have an advantage here. They usually have access to enthusiastic teachers and guidance counselors to assist them in research, study and practice writing to prepare for the submission. The student who is in college is probably so overwhelmed with work already that the thought of writing another essay just to apply for a scholarship could be enough to make them want to quit.
And now more than ever, working and unemployed adults are heading back to college in an attempt to start over. I can't even imagine finding myself laid off after 20+ years in a career and having to sit down and write an essay to apply for some much need money knowing I'd be competing with some of the best and brightest students. Talk about intimidating.
The good news for theses folks is they all qualify for the no essay scholarships. Just as long as they are attending, or planning to attend college. There are scholarship opportunities just for moms, or dads, for working adults and those with a military affiliation. The application process is straight forward and easy. It's generally a one page online application and you simply agree to receive information from one of the sponsor schools. It couldn't be any easier.
These scholarships aren't just given out once a year or even every semester. These scholarships are awarded monthly, for as much as $10,000. If you aren't awarded this month, go back and register next month or the month after. And there are little, if any, restrictions on how you spend the money. When you are in college every penny helps.
