Access to affordable education is within reach with scholarships and grants for college students in Florida. These programs provide financial aid support to Florida undergraduate students who are enrolled in degree programs at participating Florida universities and colleges throughout the state.
Eligibility Procedure and Requirements to Receive Academic Funding
Each institution may have their own procedures such as application deadlines, student eligibility, and application procedures. However to receive funding, students must be a resident of Florida and a U.S Citizen or eligible non-citizen. Students should not be in default under any state or federal grant, scholarship or loan, unless student has made arrangements for repayment that is satisfactory. Student must also be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units per term in a baccalaureate degree program from a participating Florida institution. They should also meet Florida's general eligibility requirements for funding. State aid is not available to students who are enrolled in a program that leads to a degree in divinity or theology.
Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program
The Florida Bright FuturesScholarship Program was created in 1997 to reward students for their academic accomplishments during high school. The program reward students by providing them with financial support to attend postsecondary education in Florida.
